Common Ground
It’s hard to believe Harris got 74 million votes. Were they real votes? As the final counts come in 20 days after polls closed we see exactly what we expected to see, the majority of votes counted weeks after the election are going to democrats in house races.
Let’s get to the subject at hand. Election results indicate at least 70 million people in the US decided to vote for an open marxist with radical ideas. What would cause people to side with an openly radical agenda? Was it all the free things promised during the campaign? People were given choices. Close the border or open the border wider. With all the news about illegal immigrants abusing the system, cities and states going into debt to provide free services to illegal immigrants, FEME running out of funds for disaster relief because they gave away everything to illegal immigrants, and countless stories about illegal immigrants above the law being aided by state and local governments, doors have been opened to common ground between life long moderate democrats and Patriots wearing MAGA hats.
The other important subject is government spending and government debt. The fact the Harris campaign spent record sums of money on the election and finished in debt enforced the belief, we can no longer elect people with zero financing skills and trust them with our tax dollars. That could only lead to higher taxes combined with less accountability. Which is what got the US into the mess we see today. Demanding government accountability is another subject conservatives have with moderate democrats who are beginning to look at facts.
The main focus at this point should be finding common ground to build relationships on. Take away all the labels the media loves to place on Americans. Take away the labels of left, right, conservative, liberal, Democrat, and Republican. You can also take away the labels placed on race, creed, and color the establishment uses to keep people divided into small, controllable groups. Is the government more likely to listen to a 51% majority or a 90% majority? When it comes to government wasted spending, are they likely to stop when 51% remand a change or when 90% tell them to look for other employment come election time? When we work on common ground we use the power of the people to our most effective advantage. When we allow government to divide us, they will continue to do business their old fashion way.
The election proved common ground lies in a secure border, deporting illegal immigrants in a fair and just manner. All Americans find common ground in reducing taxes by reducing government waste and stopping the open stealing by every level of government.
We have promises from the Trump administration to close the border, deport criminal immigrant factions, fight human trafficking, drug trafficking, and the endless prostitution rings around the US by the cartels, organized gangs from foreign countries. The vast majority of Americans agree on that. The Trump administration also promises to cut the size of government, reduce government spending, and lower the national debt. A number of concepts and ideas have been introduced by people who joined the campaign circuit making public promises to represent the American people and put an end to organized crime inside government. A plan the majority of Americans support. To date those concepts, ideas, and programs have not been tested. Which means we need to keep the pressure up to ensure those promises are fulfilled. Which is one good reason to work on common ground.
We’ve already heard of a number of elected officials who vowed to stop programs designed to close the border, deport illegal immigrants, and reduce government spending. This is where American voices need to be heard. On both sides of those important subjects. Number one, to ensure all actions taken follow the Constitution and law to the letter. Number two, to let those opposing needed changes know their actions will not be tolerated. To let the radical politicians know their opposition to America’s choices will not be tolerated.
Finding common ground is the first step to opening a constructive dialog. For generations government has used divide and control tactics. We will let government officials and the media know that will no longer be tolerated.
Looking forward, Conservative Christians know we have important work in front of us. Election results show there are over 70 million people who need our prayers and support. The first step is to recognize the fact, the biggest mistake we can make is to place all of those people into 1 group, or number of groups. Every single one of those people are individuals. Neighbors, coworkers, family, friends, and people we meet on the streets we know we have something in common. We also know we have God on our side and if more of us knew how the Holy Spirit works, our jobs would be half accomplished. Let’s look at a few interesting facts.
Elon Musk is one of the smartest people of our time. Based on the fact Elon is heavily into science, space exploration, and on the cutting edge of technology, it is safe to assume Elon has his own views on God often mixing scientific theories with religion. In short, Elon is not the most shining example of a Conservative Christian. Given that, one event happened that changed Elon’s life and outlook on God. Trump had a near death experience of sorts on the first assassination attempt. On live TV a bullet missed Trump’s head by a fraction of an inch grazing his ear, spilling an enormous amount of blood as Trump stood up under fire, pumped his fist in the air shouting, fight, fight, fight. That inspired millions of people around the world. It raised Trump’s belief in God along with his entire family as well as others at all different levels of faith, including Elon Musk. Elon did interviews explaining how that event reshaped his religious beliefs. If you paid attention you would have noticed, Elon prefers to collect information and formulate his own ideas and concepts. Which is a concept shared by most people. Elon became one of Trump’s strongest supporters, and wants to lead the charge against government waste. God always has a way or recruiting people He can use in ways we never imagined. God used Elon to create common ground we need to begin the work laid in front of us. It would be a sin to waste a miracle like that.
Not to get bogged down into long explanations of how to react to people who need the truth about Jesus and a short introduction, lets instead look at a few basic facts the four Gospel authors agreed upon. Number one. Jesus didn’t spend years holding the hand of any individual or group of people. Jesus met people. Some He healed. Others heard a parable or two. Some even asked questions. At the end of the day Jesus was on His way to reach other people. You see, Jesus had a real relationship with the Holy Spirit and knew the best thing to do was give people something to think about and leave them in the capable hands of the Holy Spirit. Of course when people did ask questions it was mainly about the symbolism Jesus used or the last days. As far as symbolism is concerned. Joseph gave us one story using symbolism we should all know and pay attention to.
Joseph responded, “Both of Pharaoh’s dreams mean the same thing. God is telling Pharaoh in advance what he is about to do. The seven healthy cows and the seven healthy heads of grain both represent seven years of prosperity. The seven thin, scrawny cows that came up later and the seven thin heads of grain, withered by the east wind, represent seven years of famine. “This will happen just as I have described it, for God has revealed to Pharaoh in advance what he is about to do. The next seven years will be a period of great prosperity throughout the land of Egypt. But afterward there will be seven years of famine so great that all the prosperity will be forgotten in Egypt. Famine will destroy the land. This famine will be so severe that even the memory of the good years will be erased. As for having two similar dreams, it means that these events have been decreed by God, and he will soon make them happen. “Therefore, Pharaoh should find an intelligent and wise man and put him in charge of the entire land of Egypt. (Gen 41:25-33 NLTse)
We need to pay attention to a few simple facts Joseph gave us. Joseph had a direct connection with God. God gave that dream to Pharaoh and God interpreted the symbols. It is not difficult to under stand fat cows and fat ears of corn represent prosperity and skinny cows and ears of corn represented famine. Stories using symbols often contain symbolism easy to understand with a bit of common sense. But what symbol in those dreams told Joseph or us those 7 cows and ears of corn represented years? Nothing. Years was a part of symbolism God understood and instructed Joseph to tell Pharaoh. As we can see, some symbols may be easy to interpret and understand why other portions of that symbolism are impossible for us to interpret. Which tells us, we need that direct connection with God to get the full understanding of a dream, parable, or prophecy. Without that direct connection we are only guessing. It is important to inform new believers of our limitations. Which is another thing we have in common.
A general rule of Bible Study tells us, symbols are always interpreted by the author. More often within the same story. In this example the dreams and their interpretations are found in the same story. A rule to follow throughout the Bible in all of its books.
We should be ready for questions about the last days and where we are in God’s timeline. Which we should explain to the best of our ability, while admitting, we are in the same boat as any new believer because we don’t know the all the details and no one knows the time or hour. That leaves us on common ground with all believers, especially new believers who are more than welcome to join us in our continued research. What more could we ask for?
