The Origin of Fake News

    1. The Origin of Fake News

One important fact we need to remember is that the left is void of original ideas and incapable of formulating any original thought. Americans familiar with American and World History can see how the left has copied the play books of world leaders most people consider tyrants. More on that in later chapters. In this chapter we will examine the origin of fake news which will not surprise a whole lot of people, but is an important factor when we want to step back and see how God has been in control of every detail of what we see erupting on the political front across this globe since at least 2016.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

(John 1:1 KJV)

There is a collection of hundreds of articles written on the origin of fake news. Most of which credit a small group of teenagers in the small Macedonian town of Veles. Where is Macedonia? I had to look this one up myself. Macedonia is a small country bordered by Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, and Greece. Which is to say, an out of the way place where we would least expect to find the beginning of a new form of news most of the major networks just had to copy.

As a side note, Veles is a major Slavic god of the earth and cattle favored by peasants. I am not sure if that has anything to do with the subject, but it can make for some interesting reading.

Back to the subject at hand. God wanted to make a few points with the origin of fake news. A few points that help to put the pieces of this political puzzle together. Veles is the last place anyone would expect to see an event unfold that would change the face of politics, not to mention throwing the First Amendment of the Constitution into question, as well as threatening basic God-given human rights around the world into question. But it happened. Not only was the location unique, the people behind the movement and their actions are more than interesting, adding a distinct flavor to the truth about fake news.

Those involved in the origin of fake news were teenagers trying to use the Internet to make some extra money. Back in 2016 the average income in Veles was about $350 a month. How much did those teenagers make from their websites on the Internet? Estimates range from $300 a week to over $1 million in 2016. Another interesting point is how they spent their money. Some articles pointed out how those teens helped their families and community. Other articles listed cars, stereos, laptops, and other items purchased with their income. It really doesn’t matter what you believe about how much those teens made or what they spent their money on. The fascinating fact surrounding this entire story is the fact that multi-billionaires who own news agencies in the US and around the world saw an opportunity to make billions and seized the moment. Imagine that. Multi-billionaires with the brightest minds in the world working for them showing they were incapable of running their businesses, who stooped to copying ideas from some poor teens from an unknown town in a little known country and, of course, neglected to give any credit to those teens or reward them for their ideas. Which about sums up the attitude on the left.

According to most accounts, the hoaxers in Veles were primarily poor, apolitical young men in their teens and twenties who, under the tutelage of the web-marketing specialist, Mirko Ceselkoski, became adept at luring American conservatives to their websites and Facebook posts and made clickbait fortunes.

O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you. When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers– the moon and the stars you set in place– what are people that you should think about them, mere mortals that you should care for them?

(Psa 8:1-4 NLTse)

It is not unusual for God to use the last person that we would expect. Such is the case with those teens from the unknown town of Veles. When we look at the contrast of those teens, having a little fun and making a little extra cash along the way, to that of those multi-billionaires who stole the idea, and how they have been using and abusing that idea over the past eight years, we know that is a message that deserves a second look.

Did God have a hand in all of that? We know the devil is the father of lies and eventually demons would influence people under their control to use unbelievable lies to sway elections as well as convince people the best form of action is to place the most corrupt people on this planet in total control. The fact that we see so many people falling for those lies explains why sheep are often used to symbolize people.

Knowing those lies were going to mushroom after Trump was elected in 2016, it shouldn’t surprise any of us to see God placing important clues along the way so we could take a look back over history to see how the most powerful people in the media industry stole the idea for fake news from the mouths of babes.

No one denies the fact those teens made up fictitious stories about both candidates during the 2016 election. Consider the fact that those stories were made up by a group of teens who didn’t live in the US, but had no trouble seeing the dysfunctional actions, claims, promises, and past of both candidates. Of course it was much easier for those teens to concentrate on Hillary Clinton. Her past was a treasure trove of interesting little stories that could be viewed more than one way. Not to mention many of her statements made on the campaign trail added fuel to the fire. For instance, Hillary’s habit of making one promise in one speech in the morning and contradicting that statement in the afternoon in another location was one detail those teens saw a lot of value in when it was time to write another story. It was not difficult for those teens to make points by splicing together claims and promises made in two speeches on the same day. Think of what went through the minds of those teens as those stories wrote themselves and their minds were filled with visions of all the views, likes, and shares their posts racked up within minutes of posting them.

To remain unbiased those teens did release stories about Trump. But as some Internet articles pointed out, stories about Trump did not attract the website traffic stories on Hillary drew on a daily basis. As the teens pointed out, it was more difficult to uncover interesting points on Trump to lead into stories that attracted large audiences. Not to mention stories on Trump were less likely to be shared over social media sites. But with Hilary those stories just wrote themselves.

We also need to note that those teens were smart enough to add comments on the lead page of their website as well as on the stories pointing out that those stories were meant for entertainment. A procedure those media multi-billionaires failed to comply with.

What do we learn about fake news from the past? The most important lesson is what we refer to as fake news today started off as a joke back in 2016. Those articles began as a teenage prank that just happened to take off and made money for a group of teens who could really use the income. Of course those teens were not the only people making a living from fake news stories. As soon as a few people hit it big on the Internet, hundreds of people jumped in. Once a group of billionaire news agency owners saw how amateurs could make untold sums of money from the Internet, they just couldn’t help but hire a new set of writers, call them investigative reporters, and begin fixing a few details on the Internet so they could corner the advertising market as well as get their favored politicians elected.

There was nothing wrong with people making some extra cash by posting entertaining stories about politicians on the Internet. Everyone knew what was a joke and what was real news. That was until major news networks created their own brand of fake news. With that came the unexpected. A flood of censorship on the Internet. Fake news from major media networks combined with cries for censorship exposed the unholy union between major media and politicians. God’s simple plan exposed all of them for the world to clearly see. To think God used a small group of teens from a small unknown town in Macedonia to expose Satan’s little army. What an amazing plan.
